Miss Daigle's 6100 Math Class |
Course Information

Welcome, again, to 6100 Mathematics! I am so excited to be able to teach your child some wonderful and interesting things this year. It will be such a great year! If your child follows all of my policies and adheres to the core values of FLMS (respect, responsibility, and resiliency), he/she will be guaranteed to succeed. Here are some policies that your child will follow as a part of 6100 math. Please read through these policies carefully and if you have any questions, feel free to email or call with any further questions.

Here at Freetown-Lakeville Middle School, all math teachers use the Holt Mathematics textbook. Sixth grade uses Course 1. Seventh grade uses Course 2. Eighth grade uses Course 3. It is a wonderful resource chockfull of wonderful resources. Simply click HERE for directions on how to use the online web site devoted to the textbook. There are worksheets to print up, videos to watch with actual math professors, inter activities, and much more!
All students in sixth grade are in mixed ability classes. Some students were recommended by their previous math teacher for an above average class. These students were notified that they are required to complete “advanced” homework assignments and quizzes/tests. Others have the option to do so. Once the “advanced” quiz/test is taken, the grade sticks, no matter the outcome.
Throughout the year, we will cover most standards in the sixth grade curriculum, such as Number Sense and Operations, Patterns, Relations, and Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability. If there are any areas in particular that you or your child have problems, please check the web sites and resources I have provided on this web site, or call/email me. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and good luck to all this coming year!
