Modular Technology is a science & technology lab for grades 6-8. Students work together in pairs or small groups to complete one of fifteen different modules in the room. Once they complete a module they move on to another.
The students also come together as a whole class to learn about the design process, bridges, systems, aerodynamics, communication,and orthographic projections. They are put into larger groups to perform various activities (such as designing boats, building bridges, and making airplanes) and sometimes work individually to create a PowerPoint, brochure, or poster to show what they have learned.
