My Mission

My Mission is to insure for my students a safe, secure, and loving environment. Where they can explore and develop their individual gifts to their full potential and develop into active and happy citizens of the twenty-first century.

Homework

Set twenty minutes each day as homework time. Every day of the week except Friday there will be homework. First term, for every five homeworks passed in on time a  homework pass will be issued. There will not be a homework link on this site. One of my goals for second grader is to train them that it is their responsibility to take the homework home and bring it back.

Things to Do at Home

*Practice their number facts     each day.

 

*Write with them.

 

*Practice their spelling words

 

*Go over the work they bring home

 

*Read, read, read!

       

          Communication

    The best time to contact me is after 8:15 and then after school until 4:00.Notes from home will be answered by the next day. I did not receive the note if two days have passed. Phone messages can be left on my voice mail, ext.2016 or you can e-mail me at mmartin@freelake.org. I check my voice mail and e-mail first thing in the morning and at the end of the day. Please state the reason for the call or e-mail when leaving the message. Change in your child’s dismissal must go through the office. No concern is too small. Please contact me about anything that concerns you or your child.
