The purpose of this page is to introduce myself! Below is my background as well as my philosophy on teaching in the classroom, where I strive to create life-long learners.

I have been teaching since 1995. I started in Pre-School, taught third grade, and have been here at Freetown Elementary School since 1999. Here at Freetown, I taught 4th grade until 2005-2006, where I now enjoy the youngest in the school in our Freetown-Lakeville Early Childhood Center.  I have a Bachelor's of Science in Primary and Elementary Education from Florida Southern College, I am certified in Special Needs (PreK-9) from Bridgewater State College and have my Master's Degree in Integrating the Arts into the Curriculum from Lesley University.

I am a very energetic teacher and pass this energy and excitement for learning on to my students. I teach using the Arts, which requires your child/children to be on their toes and constantly thinking in new and innovative ways.  This allows students to learn at their own level while pushing their limits.

I believe in teaching my students to handle all sorts of responsibility. Responsibility comes in all different forms, from schoolwork, to their behavior, to completing their daily jobs in class. I hold each student accountable for his or her actions, and I expect them to hold me accountable as well. This is a team effort, when we all work together, we will succeed!

If there is any time you wish to speak with me, please don't hesitate to call or send an email! I will schedule a conference as soon as possible. Conferences are for anything you desire, don't wait until your child is having a hard time; keep checking in! I am available everyday before school from 8:00-8:50 or after school if scheduled in advanced. If these times are not convenient for you, please call and we can work something out.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to a great year with the Preschool Class of 2007-2008!

 Mrs. Nicole Gracia :)
