Noun - a person, place, thing or idea
Abstract Noun - the "idea" nouns having no physical existence (examples are honesty, pride, anger and happiness)
Concrete Noun - has physical existence
Proper Noun - names a specific person, place or thing
Common Noun - any person, place or thing
Pronoun - takes the place of a noun (examples are his, her, I and we)
Plural Noun - more than one of a noun (examples: the singular noun cat becomes cats, goose becomes geese)
Antecedent - the noun that a pronoun replaces (example: John rode his bike. John is the antecedent because John is the person to whom his is referring)
