OCTOBER BOOK REPORT
DUE DATE = NOVEMBER 3, 2008
Mr. Andrade Horror, Fantasy, (or Science Fiction)
Choose ONE of the options below for your October Book Report:
-- Interview a character from your book. Write at least ten questions that will give the character the opportunity to discuss his/her thoughts and feelings about his/her role in the story. However you choose to present your interview is up to you.
-- If you are reading the same book as someone else in this class, dramatize a scene from the book. In other words, write out a script (1 page dialogue) of your favorite scene with your partner and have several rehearsals before presenting it to the class.
-- Create a sculpture of your favorite character. Use any combination of wood, clay, sticks, wire, stones, old toy pieces, or any other objects you can think of. An explanation (2-3 paragraphs) of how this character fits into the book MUST accompany your sculpture.
-- Construct a diorama (three-dimensional scene which includes models of people, buildings, plants, and animals) of one of the main events of the book. Include a written description (2-3 paragraphs long) of the scene.
-- Design your own collage/poster showing pictures or 3-D items that are related to your book, and then write 3-5 sentences beside each scene to show its importance in the novel.
-- Create a series of newspaper articles for your book. Start with an article describing the setting, then summarize the plot in one article, cover the weather in another, do a feature story on one of the more interesting characters in another etc. You should have 5-6 articles total in your newspaper.
