Science Experiment Presentation Project

Students will design and conduct an experiment utilizing the scientific method. The results of the experiment will be orally presented to the class. Students should create a poster as a visual aid for their presentation. The presentation/poster should meet the criteria below and be visually pleasing.

Problem – stated clearly in the form of a question (possible questions) (more possibilities)

Research- prior knowledge of topic and/or conducted research (library, computer)

Hypothesis- an educated guess to the problem

Experimentation- design an experiment that will test the hypothesis

• be certain there is only one variable and a control for comparison
• collect data (this information should be organized and neat)
• analyze data should be represented by an appropriate graph

Conclusion- the results of the experiment, articulated in a well written paragraph
