Preposition Treasure Map
Objectives:
You will use prepositions in writing.
You will create a treasure map with directions.
Materials
- Legal size paper
- Colored Pencils/Markers
- You will use your notes on prepositions.
You know prepositions are found in directions.
- You are to create a treasure map.
- Start with a very brief creative story of how you got the map.
- On that same page, write the directions on how to get to the treasure
- On the back of the directions page, draw the map.
Example of a direction: Start next to the old oak tree. OR Walk over the stone bridge.
- Some steps may not include a preposition at all and some may have a repeated preposition.
- You must use at least fifteen different prepositions.
- Underline each preposition you use.
- You are not to begin artwork until your writing is complete.
Grading:
4 points for each preposition (must be in a complete sentence)
20 points for the map
20 points for the introduction
TOTAL: 100pts
