As you can see, seventh grade is a busy year for our math students.
Our textbooks are closely aligned with the Massachusetts Frameworks. In addition to reviewing and expanding on topics previously covered, the students are exposed to many new topics. They will be encouraged to work cooperatively and think critically. In addition to the text, I am hoping to use an introduction to the stock market to reinforce skills. With the added stress of MCAS, there is not a lot of "extra" time. However, whenever possible we will also be looking at Math and technology.
YOU CAN HELP!!!!!
Show your children how you use math at home. Have them help you cook, budget, plan a trip, measure, build or anything that involves math. Show them how you use math at work.Not only will you be reinforcing concepts taught in school but you'll be spending some "quality time" together.
